FAQ

How do I care for my jewelry?
Use a polishing cloth designed for sterling silver jewelry to clean the metal surface. please avoid polishing over oxidized, darker sterling silver as this may rub off the patina. after polishing, rinse with warm soapy water and towel dry. make sure jewelry is clean and completely dry before you store it away. wrapping your jewelry in a soft cloth will keep it clean and prevent it from tarnishing.

any jewelry with rubber should be stored in a box and not in an airtight bag to avoid accelerated tarnishing. rubber can be washed in soapy warm water and towel dried.

please take your jewelry off to sleep, shower, swim, etc. and remember to apply your hairspray, perfume, lotions, and cosmetics before putting your jewelry on.

avoid any harsh or abrasive cleaners.

How do you ship?
i usually ship USPS regular mail with tracking and insurance. free shipping is available for orders over $75. please contact me if you would like another shipping option.

How quickly can I expect my order?
If something is in stock, it will ship within 2-4 business days. Out of stock items can take 1-4 weeks to be ready to ship. i will contact you regarding shipping time on any out of stock/made to order items.

I lost an earring! Can I get a replacement? What is the cost?
yes! i can sell any earring that i still have in my collection at ½ the price for a pair plus a small matching fee.  please contact me for more information.

I’m allergic to nickel. Can I wear sterling silver?
Yes. the alloy i use is fine silver with copper. sterling silver refers to a 92.5% silver content with an alloy to make it stronger.

What is the black metal that you use?
The black metal is oxidized sterling silver. i use a patina  to create the reaction that turns the sterling silver black. It will wear over time and may need to be touched up. You can contact me  to re-oxidized your piece if needed.

I only wear gold. Can I have a piece made in gold instead of sterling silver?

I bought a piece of jewelry from you and it broke. Can you repair it?
most of the time, yes!  Depending on what needs to be repaired, there may be a small charge.  Each repair will be evaluated and cost determined at that time. please contact me at claudia@claudiaAdesigns.com and send me a picture of the broken piece and we go from there.
