born and raised in switzerland, claudia Abderhalden has been living in santa barbara, california, since 1997 where she completed an interior design program in 2003. after attending jewelry classes at the santa barbara continuing education program, she found her passion for working with precious metals and, applying her design background, she has been designing and crafting jewelry ever since. since 2006 she is working as a full time designing jeweler in Santa Barbara.

claudia A. designs are inspired by architecture, geomterical shapes, and unusual color and material combinations. the goal is to create minimal, timeless pieces that can be worn every day and for special occasions alike.

while working primarily in sterling silver, claudia also incorporates gold, gems, enamel (glass on metal), yarn,cork, rubber, and felt into her jewelry designs.
